Welcome to Flying M Paints and thank you
for visiting our site.
We are located in
Ulm, Montana, near Great Falls, and overlooking the Missouri River and the
Rockies.
We raise Paint horses, both tobianos and overos;
with around five foals each year. We stand our own stallion, Duke of
Eclipse, a sorrel overo. We also breed to outside stallions occasionally. While our
horses do not specialize in any specific venue or category, we prefer to
raise all-around useful, intelligent, friendly animals.

2012 is finally here, at least that's what the calendar says. Again,
we have bred to a couple of exciting outside quarter horse stallions, as
well as letting Duke have his regular girlfriends.

Our facilities include a 4-stall barn, a
3-horse foaling barn with pipe corrals and field, eight 100' long pipe corrals
with shelters, a hay shed with attached pipe corral sporting a 30-foot
covered feed trough - plenty of room to belly up to the bar, fields
ranging from five to thirty acres, a 100x185' pipe arena and 2 round pens.
While we are not a
public boarding facility in any sense of the word, we will consider taking
in a few carefully selected horses and their peeps, from time to time.
We now have an on-site
trainer, Clinton Hansen, and his girlfriend Marija Carte living here.
In addition to Clinton accepting outside horses for training and giving
lessons, he has been working with all our horses. Hopefully you will
see some of them in the showpen this spring!
We are members of Rocky Mountain Breeders
Association, where Gail is currently serving as Secretary. We are
also members of Montana Paint Horse Club, where Gail is Webmaster and Past
President.
The "Flying" in our name reflects Bob long-time
interest in flying small airplanes. To yield to his interests, we
also have a grass airstrip and hangar where he keeps his Kitfox (unless it
happens to have my horses' hay in it instead!).
Thanks for dropping
