This was my first airplane at Flying M Paints. It is a Kolb Firestar
powered by a Rotax 447. A single place ultralite, built by Gary Kjelsrud,
it carried 5 gallons of gas, cruised at about 55 mph and landed at about 25.
It had a tendency to nose over if you forgot to hold full up elevator during the
take off run......very embarrassing.. Gail had to come out and pull the tail
back to the ground a couple of times. I sold this plane when I purchased
the KitFox.
