Hunnydun
Isa Hunnidun, “Hunny”, is a 2003 red dun breeding stock mare. She is a beautiful, smart, friendly, very well put together mare. Unfortunately, she got her hind leg caught in some wire last spring; it has healed, but will probably remain enlarged. It hasn’t affected her way of moving. She is a soft dun color, with the old dun stripes and bars. She has that common sense that you can’t train into them – when she got cut up, she stood quietly until she was discovered, then she had her very first halter lesson, leading lesson and loading lesson, all in one day, (had to get to the vet’s!) and she handled it like a pro. Her sire, our sorrel overo stallion, goes back to Sonny Dee Bar, Impressive, Magnolia Bar, Gar Bar King, Lightning Bar, Sugar Bars, Wimpy, and of course Three Bars (lots!). Her dam is a buckskin dun tobiano with Go Man Go on her papers. She also goes back to Top Deck, Rocket Bar, Three Bars, Joe Hancock, Leo, 89’er, Joe Reed and lots of Peter McCue. She is currently starting under saddle. $1750
